Adapting to Crisis

This article draws on our experiences of carrying out PhD research migration during the COVID-19 pandemic. We are all involved with University College London Migration Research Unit (MRU), and explores lived migrants people affected by migration. is first two articles in this issue Society addressing implications from perspective postgraduate researchers. In article, we firstly reflect how “crises,” including pandemic, inevitably shape contexts research. then share has shaped relationship to “the field” formal institutions. Finally, have adapted methodologies response and, considering complex ethical practical challenges posed context, what it means make methodological “adaptations” times overlapping crises.
